TNG Services recently completed a comprehensive Quooker installation at a property on Hermitage Lane in Childs Hill, NW2. The project combined boiling, chilled and sparkling water with careful alterations to the existing kitchen plumbing, waste connections and appliance supplies.

The kitchen before installation

The kitchen already had a contemporary sink and base unit, but the available cupboard space needed to accommodate several new components as well as the existing InSinkErator, dishwasher connections and fridge water supply.

Before beginning the installation, we assessed the available space, the existing hot- and cold-water pipework, the waste arrangement and the electrical supply. This allowed the equipment and connections to be planned so that the completed system would remain accessible for future servicing.

Quooker equipment installed

The customer selected a complete Quooker setup designed to provide standard hot and cold water together with boiling, chilled and sparkling water from one coordinated system.

• Quooker Flex tap, providing everyday hot and cold water as well as instant boiling water, with a flexible pull-out hose for additional convenience.
• Quooker PRO3 boiling-water tank, supplying instant boiling water from beneath the kitchen sink.
• Quooker CUBE, providing chilled and sparkling water, complete with a connected CO₂ bottle.
• Quooker Scale Control, helping to reduce limescale build-up and protect the system to support a longer service life.

Pipework and appliance alterations

This project involved more than fitting the tap and positioning the Quooker tanks. Several existing services had to be adapted so that the new system could operate alongside the other kitchen appliances.

• Alteration and connection of the existing InSinkErator waste pipework.
• Adaptation of the existing hot- and cold-water pipework to suit the new Quooker installation.
• Connection of the refrigerator water supply.
• Adaptation and arrangement of the dishwasher water supply and waste connections.
• Organisation of the Quooker pipework and components within the available base-unit space.

Completed Quooker installation in Childs Hill

The finished installation provides the household with boiling, chilled and sparkling water from the new Quooker system while retaining the kitchen’s existing waste-disposal unit, dishwasher and refrigerator water connection.

By adapting the pipework rather than treating each appliance connection separately, the components could be brought together within the available cupboard space as one coordinated installation.
