Power Flushing and Heating System Cleaning
HEATING SYSTEM CLEANING · HERTFORDSHIRE AND NORTH LONDON
A clearer plan for your heating system
Cold radiators, slow warm-up and uneven heating can point to a circulation issue, but the cause needs checking. TNG Services assesses heating systems across Hertfordshire and North London and discusses power flushing or other cleaning where appropriate, with any related repairs explained clearly.
01
Describe the problem
Tell us which radiators are affected, how the heating behaves and what has changed.02
Assess the circuit
We review the system and discuss suitable cleaning or other work based on the findings.03
Agree the next steps
The scope covers the proposed clean and any separately identified component work.Showing the single result
When should system cleaning be considered?
Heating water circulates through the boiler, pipework and radiators. Contamination within that circuit can affect circulation, but cold rooms and slow radiators can also result from air, valve problems, balancing or component faults. The symptoms alone do not establish that a power flush is necessary. Tell us how the problem developed and which parts of the property are affected. We discuss what needs checking and whether cleaning is suitable for the system’s condition. Known leaks, corrosion and previous repairs should be part of that discussion.Power flushing and other cleaning methods
A power flush uses specialist equipment to circulate cleaning fluid through a heating circuit and remove loosened contamination. The process and cleaning products need to suit the equipment and condition of the system. Power flushing is not the only way a circuit can be cleaned. The appropriate approach depends on the installation, symptoms and any requirements associated with proposed equipment changes. We explain the recommended scope rather than prescribing the same process for every property.Cold or uneven radiators
Describe the pattern: one radiator, a group of rooms or the whole circuit. This helps distinguish distribution and component concerns from a potential cleaning requirement.Planned heating upgrades
If a boiler, pump or radiators are being replaced, the existing circuit should be considered alongside the new equipment. Tell us about the planned work before booking.REAL TNG SERVICES WORK · LONDON NW8
System cleaning and upgrades in St John’s Wood
At a St John’s Wood property, TNG Services found poor circulation in a system with radiators more than 30 years old. The work combined cleaning with valve, filter and pump changes. The team treated the circuit with Sentinel X800, power flushed the radiators individually, replaced the TRVs and fitted a 28mm MagnaClean filter and a replacement Grundfos pump. Sentinel X100 inhibitor was added after refilling. These were the requirements of that job; your system may need a different scope.

What is included in the proposal?
The radiator count, circuit layout, access and condition influence the work. Ask which cleaning stages, refilling, protective treatment and checks are included. If valves, a pump, filter or other parts need replacement, those items should be identified separately. Our St John’s Wood example involved both cleaning and several component changes. It is an illustration of a system-specific solution, not a standard package that every property needs. Before arranging system cleaning
Does every cold radiator need a power flush?
No. Several faults can cause poor heating. We discuss an assessment before deciding whether contamination and cleaning are part of the solution. Is this a boiler service?
No. Boiler servicing and cleaning a heating circuit have different purposes. A routine service does not automatically include a full system clean. Can older radiators be cleaned?
Suitability depends on their condition and the system arrangement. Known leaks, corrosion or previous repairs should be discussed before work is agreed. How much does the work cost?
The quote depends on the circuit, radiator count, access, condition and agreed scope. Send those details and photos so we can discuss the next step. Will you replace the pump or filter?
Only where replacement is appropriate and agreed. It is separate from the cleaning work and is not automatically needed.Details that help us plan the visit
Send your postcode, approximate radiator count, boiler make and model, and a short description of the symptoms. Photos of accessible heating components and any magnetic filter are useful. Mention recent changes, leaks or repeated pressure loss.Heating system cleaning in your area
Servicing or replacement may be a separate need
Boiler servicing covers routine appliance maintenance. If you are planning a change of boiler, see boiler installation and replacement and mention the condition of the existing circuit.LET’S DISCUSS YOUR HEATING
